Evolution of gene expression, development, and genomes.

We research how diversity arises from the interaction between development, genomes, and the environment. To do this, we use computational (*omic) and developmental approaches to better
understand the evolution of genes, their expression, the networks they compose, and the bodies they construct. Horned beetles and sea urchins are our primary study systems,
though we welcome the opportunity to work on any organism that helps address these questions (see
Research).
